Funny, you say this. I’ve had a debate with a friend of mine as to whether we are 100% lock if we win out. He says we are a 100% lock, but I think given the records of UVA, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech, BYU, and potentially four SEC teams getting in could keep us out. I’m worried that the committee will not want to give both the SEC and the Big Ten four teams and limit the ACC and the big 12 to just one team each. Therefore, I put the percentage around 80 to 90%.

I like the enthusiasm, but it's one thing to hope, and another to accept reality. I hope you're right, but put your money on OSU. That's not to say the Wolverines aren't a good team. There are simply to many things that have to go right for Michigan to beat OSU, and doing it two years in a row as a massive underdog is a huge ask.

This team has no fear of Ohio, and Bredeson coming up the gap lives rent free in their heads. Until proven otherwise, This team will get it done in the game.

Would love to see some real skin in the game on posts like this. I love the optimism but add something to it to show your "true" confidence.

I mean he’s a fan. He gets to be a bit delusional. But, at the end of the day, Ohio State has to prove they’re better between the lines. Last year they couldn’t do that despite being a much superior team. Michigan still has the same blueprint that has beaten OSU in the past… a hard nosed run game and getting pressure on the QB. There aren’t a ton of holes to poke in OSU this year, if any. But, Michigan will have 110,00 fans and an angry defensive line making their young QB anxious. The game plan is similar to past years: Make OSO score 3, then go on long drives that control the clock. Our OL has been steadily improving this year and hopefully can do enough to get Bryce going through that air.

The thing is, we don't have to do it "two years in a row". We have to do it once. It's still a big ask....they'll be rightly favored...but it's one game. The unlikelihood of last year only matters insofar as it has impacted and will impact the preparation on both sides. If anything, I think their mental burden helps us.

I think Oregon will lose another game. If both are 10-2, Michigan would likely get the bump with a win over OSU.

There is no doubt they are very, very good. They also, according to my math, have beaten exactly 1 team that is currently ranked.

Hell, their is no way last years team should have beat them. This team is way more talented!!!!

Certainly possible. They don’t have an easy schedule the rest of the way. They play at Iowa, USC, and at Washington.
