Keene is there to be a backup. But re: strikes again, they landed two top top WRs...rated higher than Jordyn Tyson on the inbound...they have reason to be feeling good about their portal haul.

Portal haul has been legit. Tyson, Brown, Meteyer, Gomez (kicker) were all portal arrivals as well. 3 legit WR, legit RB, 14 QBs….

With a fraction of the NIL that Michigan has. The problem for Michigan is that it has to use most of its budget to retain talented underclassmen and pay incoming freshmen. A school such as Arizona State gas to pay a lot less to retain their less than Michigan-caliber roster talent so has some money available -primarily from revenue sharing -to take a few swings in the portal.

Was really excited when he committed to UM. As a 2-year starter in HS, he never lost a game. In college, he threw for over 8,000 yards and had the 3rd highest adjusted completion rate in the NCAA prior to coming to UM. Figured he would push young Bryce. Clearly didn't work out but he was a great teammate and a positive influence. Frankly, given our lack of experience behind Bryce, I was hoping he'd stick around but his return home makes sense. Wish him well.
