ND: DeBoer road issues?

The narrative two weeks ago was DeBoer could not win on the road (I bought into this also) and this would cause his demise sooner rather than later. Since then, he won at UGA (breaking SEC’s longest home winning streak in history). Now the longest winning streak in the country is Oregon. Lanning/OU have not lost since they lost to Washington (DeBoer) in 2022. The 2nd longest winning streak in the country is Mizzou. If DeBoer wins Saturday, the narrative will likely need to be put to bed that he can’t win on the road.

Digging into that a little bit shows his road woes were against unranked teams. It's a small sample size any way you slice it but they beat a ranked LSU on the road last year and now have beaten us. The issue has been getting his team up for a team they're supposed to bully

Which is a coaching issue, but little consolation to us.

100%. Still a big concern for them but maybe easier to fix than if it were all road teams

I believe you are on the wrong narrative. The narrative is “Kirby can’t beat Ala”. That narrative was re-enforced with rebar and concrete. Kirby gets another opportunity next Fall. Can Kirby beat Ala?

Easier to win on the road when the home team turns the ball over after having the momentum, fails to defend the same play over and over, gets ZERO pressure all night and doesnt take the points

I think last year Debeor was stuck with a QB he didn't really know how to use. This year, they simply did what a lot of college teams do, they went into that FSU game overconfident and got caught with their pants down. But it is pretty obvious they have a QB that fits his system now, and they are going to be dangerous for the rest of the year. I fully expect if UGA does what we all hope and wins out, that at least one Bama rematch is in our future if not multiple rematches.

This 👆🏼one narrative is way stronger than the other. But Kirby might actually get to play Bama again this season.

I am calm. It is a message board We just get to reply and not always have to pretend the original poster is wise at all. You want to have free rein to be a dick? What is the point of your post? To just be a casual arse?

Yes it’s a message board. Not all posters are wise, as you regularly demonstrate

It's almost not even relevant that Deboer/bama were on the road last weekend. A win against Kirby for anyone currently coaching bama is a given. So let's not act like Deboer is putting any narratives to bed. All that they had to do was show up to the game in Athens. I'm not impressed at all with that jackäss

Thanks for checking out this free message board preview.
