One of the benefits of NIL, recruits are basically committed to the Collective and not necessarily the coach.

Actually committing to the money is ok in this case. Just so long as they didn't just commit to the coach.

You can tell a lot of these kids are affected by the firing of Napier. They like him a lot, but it's a business and they understand that too. Billy is a great person, but the results weren't there. Simple as that.

Napier is an elite life coach, and he was excellent at finding talented guys who want to grow in all the ways he promised. There’s a chance we thread the needle of having dawgs join a mature selfless roster, but the odds feel bad that Napier’s guys will mesh well with guys who aren’t on the religion+self-improvement journey.

Just spoke with 4-star DB commit CJ Bronaugh. Some encouraging feedback from him. “I’m sad to see him leave, but my dad has told me this is business and that it will happen to everyone at some point.
