Biggest knock on this guy is size and FCS. The accuracy you would hope is transferable and he is from Miami, so Florida ties.

Cam Ward came from UIW and their current QB is 4th in FCS in Completion Percentage; maybe we kick the tires with him?***

DJ Lagway already has connections to Lamborghini Orlando, it’s a perfect fit *

Rest assured that we can’t afford any QB with even halfway decent 2025 stats. We are going to be gambling on some 2nd or 3rd string player again.

Davi is like 5’7 and you’re worried about size

Seen a couple posts making it sound like we’re planning to spend for a portal QB. Hope we can identity one early that will attract some skill players.

After Lagway's 3 INTs in their embarrassing blowout loss to Kentucky last night (38-7), intestering talk last night on how Napier was forced to stick with Lagway as long as he did during his reign because of the huge $$$ commitment that was given to him ($4 Million for 2 years...and then Lagway also got $3.5 Million more in true NIL deals). Other coaches have been put in similar boats as the talk about if this was 10 yrs ago..without NIL $$$...more coaches would have given the hook on their #1 choices to sign someone else.

UCF tried that last year...and the price just kept going up and up. Player agents are smart...Bigger contract = bigger commission. I don't care if it's an early or late choices (UCF might have to take 2 portal QBs...depending on which HS QBs sign with us in early Dec.. and who can be here in Jan), just get the RIGHT ONE.

LaNorris Sellers or Lagway if they are cheap. Both those guys are fixable. Alonza Barnett from JMU would probably be gettable, too.

Are you sure? I’ve watched Lagway a lot and he seems to simply be a terrible QB.

I think Napier ruined him and that Frost can fix him, but my concern is that we’d only get him for a year. For what we’d have to pay, I’d want him for two

Started at Charlotte as a Freshman, then announced he was going to UF because he thought he was going to start over Lagway. Obviously that wasn't the case so he quickly left to WF where he's behind a 6th year QB

I think we should start a "Not too early PK Hot Board" as Ruelas (from James Madison via UCONN) as been our Offensive MVP this year. Ruelas is 14-16 (87.5%) with 3 made FGs of 51, 53 and 54 yds. (He is 26-27 on PATs). Bummer that this is his final college season. Comparison: Colton Boomer was just 7-18 (38.8%) in Big 12 Conf Games in his UCF career and vs BYU in 2023 Bowl Game. Let's see if we can grab another experienced and top G5 kicker for 2026.

The biggest test on if McKenzie Milton is a decent qb coach would be if he can get dj lagway fixed and back to what he was supposed to be

So fking tired of this cheap crap. UCF has millions to spend IF they want to. Terry and Frost better be smart and spend all they can, if not neither will be here in 2027.

Remember...what they can spend now is limited as only funds available are what we have left over from the Fall Roster. A new Revshare year will start on July 1, 2026 and the process will be started again.
