Orange Bowl?

Before you lambast me, here is my reasoning. The winner of the Big 10 game will be No 1. Georgia has this game under control so I think they move to No 2. Loser of Big 10 will be No 3. We will stay at No 4. My reasoning is that if the loser of the Big 10 game goes to 4, that aligns them with Oregon at 5 and the winner plays the Big 10 champion. I just don’t see the committee doing that. Saying that, Big 10 champion chooses Rose Bowl, SEC champ chooses the Sugar Bowl, loser of Big 10 chooses Cotton Bowl and we more than likely get Oregon in the Orange Bowl.

IMO, I believe Tech will move to #3. We had an impressive win. We covered and then some. Loser if Big 10 will drop to #4. Big 12 has history with Cotton bowl and so therefore, Tech will be at Cotton and I'll be there.

I think we need a blowout loss in the Big Ten title game. The easiest path for Tech is a blowout loss for Indiana, since they are currently ranked lower than Ohio State. Easier to get a #2 team to fall to #4 instead of a #1 team falling to #4.

There is zero chance they will move the loser of the B1G to 4 unless it's non-competitive.

I know they do, but they've had IU and tOSU separated from the pack by a significant margin all year.

I'm saying 1 and 2 has been in pen from the first set of rankings thus far. And it should be considering they're the only undefeated teams in the country. Whoever (IU) loses likely stays at 2 unless it's a non-competitive game.

No chance, conference champ losers always drop. Georgia will be 2 and it’s very likely Tech will be 3.

We need Mendoza & Indiana to have a similar experience to Harrell & Texas Tech in 2008 against Oklahoma. One team has a roster of mostly 3-star players, while the other team is loaded with 5-star players. If the Buckeyes smoke them by 40 points, suddenly Indiana does not look like a clear cut #2 or even #3 team.

Playoff committee has already stated they recognize Tech lost to ASU by 4 on the road with a backup QB. One score game the loser drops to 3, 2+ and they’ll drop to 4. Compare resumes between 12-1 Tech and 12-1 IU

My problem with believing that we move up lies in the fact that if IU falls to 4, then that sets them up for 2 rematches in a row (UO, OSU) and I cannot imagine a universe where the committee wants/lets that happen.

17+ point victory by tosu is the only way I see us moving to 3 at this point and that’s fine. I am not scared of Oregon
