Dick Hammer was the most interesting man in the world. Basketball player at Southern Cal. Olympic volleyball player at age 34. Actor in the show emergency, then a firefighter, and the Marlboro man.

I thought this was about the second episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Now that he doesn't play for USC anymore, I can root for Darnold. Especially against the Patriots. For those with longer memories, the game against ND in South Bend in 2017 was a priceless one for Irish fans as ND mugged the Trojans 49-17, and the run below was the 2nd to last TD scored and took it from a game SC might have tried to state a valiant comeback in to one they had to admit was lost. The video above shows the run from many different angles, but what it doesn't show are the faces of both Clay Helton and Sam Darnold as they reacted to the Adams long TD run. In Darnold's case, he had just led his team to a nice TD drive and started to make the game look more competitive. It was a long, several minute drive and fairly impressive by anybody's standard. To see ND respond by scoring a TD themselves in just 1 play visibly took the heart out of the Trojans, and Darnold's facial expression said it all. Clay Helton had a similar look on his face, and you could visibly see the last shreds of hope leave their bodies, folks. It was wonderful...

I thought this was common knowledge since his USC days!

Or even better, a cheerleader related to the “where’s the beef” lady would be a great story line.
