Better to move it up than have to reschedule. UVA release also says it won't be doing the Tony Bennett ceremony on Saturday, postponing until February.

The good news is we will be the first game on ESPN2, so we finally will not have the beginning of our broadcast stolen by the preceding game!

UGH, I'm going to MSU/Maryland game which is at Noon. Was hoping to get out of there and get to sports bar to watch our game.

Following the weather models at work. Areas northern NC and VA will get it pretty good. Meanwhile, most likely to be another fizzle out down here in Indian Trail with some sleet. Smart move to allow us to play the game and get home before it comes through since the model now anticipates it being later in the afternoon/evening on Saturday instead of earlier like before.

10am for me. I don't miss that winter weather of the southeast. My time in WNC and D.C. I got all the snow I'd want.

The initial thought behind the 2002 projection was that cold air mass would settle in ahead of the storm but it’s not happening like they originally thought it would so while we will likely get sleet, the projection of devastation and loss of power has been dialed back a bitIt’s going to be a major ice storm in the Charlotte area. Glad they moved it up. First and foremost, safety of everybody is most important. No need to cause us to be coming home around 6 PM when the bad weather is just starting. Just get everybody back home safe, even if it doesn't hit as bad as it's supposed to hit.
