Seismic change is needed around here

Can’t just blame boosters here. Goodbye Mike Bobinski. Grimes, lol. Abolish JPC. Mung, where y’at? Are you happy? BOT? Lotta nerds and no sharks. Purdue University, please subsidize the AD. This is a joke at this point. It’s like you want to lose. I’m not out on Odom yet. He’s bringing a knife to a gunfight every week. But he has one year to show this thing can be turned around. James Franklin, anyone? This shit show is putting unnecessary pressure on Matt Painter to float Purdue athletics while the football program is on its death bed.

100%! Franklin had every resource and recruit and still couldn't win the big one.. Odom has proven he can build but building in the B1G, is a completely different animal than the mwc..

Odom hasn’t done anything yet to prove that I am out on him. I reserve the right to still make up my mind. There’s a lot of season left. You really have to give a coach a few years to figure things out. I was pleased with being competitive vs ND and USC (at least somewhat). The last 2 games have been disappointing but they have been on the road. Let’s see how it plays out.

Purdue football last 2.5 years: Conference games 3-19 Underdogs in the last five games, would be back to back 0-9 conference seasons, unless they can upset Rutgers.

Exactly. We have moved the ball like crazy every game except this one. Some bad turnovers and dropped balls have hurt us, but we’ve been competitive in every game…way more so than Walters’ team was last year. I thought 4 wins this year would be a success. Think we’ll win next week and maybe shock Washington, Michigan…or IU. This week was disappointing but I definitely believe in Odom.

There’s no magic millions lying around the university. Big donors aren’t writing more checks. Fanbase has to pay hard earned dollars if they want quality Purdue football in this era. 1 in 25 Purdue alums X $2000/yr = $20M/yr.

There is absolutely 0% chance of winning any of these games at Washington, at Michigan, vs IU renta players have quit again.

In practice saving 2500 a year extra means retiring earlier, or helping my 3 kids live better, or maybe going places before I die. It gonna suck when IU and others beat us all the time, and it can happen eventually in basketball, but I just have to live with it. Billionaires can drop millions on stupid stuff, NIL and politics, and still do all of the above. Purdue just cant compete, why bother. Makes me sad at a level, but I cant hurt myself financially.
