Shannon Dawson Throwing Shade @ FSU Coaches & Talent

Well, there you have it. I recall that a coach in the ACC once said the exact same thing about Bobby and Mickey Andrews. "We know exactly what Bowden likes to do with his offense. They run the same plays over and over Andrews uses a base defense. Its frustrating because we just don't have the players to stop what they like to do." So what does this mean? Dawson is throwing shade but he actually makes a point. Is it Tony White or the talent? You as a coach, put the players in position, are they not being coached up or is it a talent issue? That flea flicker was just unacceptable. That's why I say White needs time.

Not watching ;) UM was a better team last weekend, and IMO in a better overall spot than FSU as of right now. They get to be as snotty and arrogant as they want (it's UM so they are always that way) towards us. They got up 3 TDs' and called off the dogs in the fourth quarter. Hopefully we get motivated and buckle up on both sides and decide to go win a game vs. a less talented Pitt team this week.

Who cares...rivalry game and both seem to be true...Miami is not complicated and Dawson seems to be a guy who takes what the D gives him which is why he is a good OC.

They did beat our CBs a few times ... like 4 times I think. But that's all that it took, right?

If you are a D coordinator that is what you do. Take away an opposing offenses strengths and make them beat you with something else. Miami did that on Saturday. FSU had zero pass rush and White either didn't blitz enough or those blitzes didn't get home in time. Miami's OL is very good. Tip your cap to the Canes. If the FSU Offense didn't shoot themselves in the foot three times, maybe the score would have been different. Shannon is going to put it that way to make himself look good, but he's being Captain Obvious.

Let's see how coach dimples does without an OL with 3 or 4 future NFL players and 5th year QB

At least we played hard. And that is a win in my book.

They never "Called Off The Dogs", Mario was trying to run up the score until the final whistle.

Cignetti owned whites defense and after the game told reporters he exposed him not surprised to hear a college of former coach of his (their dc) have similar thoughts especially considering how Nebraska has gotten better since white’s departure on defense pass defense under white has been a problem. Gets to 3rd down big play he has the perfect home at 3rd and FSU until proven otherwise with a quick blinker or feet at qb fsu defense will be in trouble

We have seen the problems against Virginia and Miami. Too many times there are gaping sections of the field to be exploited. Every time we went man against Virginia they simply ran all defenders to the sidelines and the QB ran for miles up the middle. Miami was looking for number 3 all night because they know he is slow and White isolated him enough times it paid off for Miami. Time to go to bend don't break honestly. We do not have the DL to create enough pressure to force them into bad mistakes and we cannot leave our back seven one on one with anyone.

Kind of weak in throwing shade department. I just think he was stating the obvious while placating to their fanbase.

It concerns me that Nebraska now has the number one pass defense with the same players and lesser talent in the db room from last year and lost an entire dl which forced pressure and fsu is not lacking in db talent something is off… DL been a problem for years hitting on the 3 we had out the portal is a thing of the past now that others are in on transfers with much deeper pockets I laughed all pre season at the hype James Williams got from the media here sad really.

Mario also said they seen in film and that were going to attack 19 Wilson because he’s a weakness he was exploited in zone and man. He needs to be moved to the boundary and Rawls to the field he doesn’t have the speed or hips to defend a large area .
