In a span of a month, the team went from tough loss to MSU to losing to a garbage Stanford team, playing flat after a bye in a recovery game, to getting their asses handed to them by a backup QB of a bad 2-2 team. There were troubling quotes after Stanford that got overlooked. The team has completely quit on the field. They’re making sloppy mistake after sloppy mistake. We all know they’re not the 2001 Hurricanes from a talent standpoint but a team that hung 40 up in a road game just almost got shut out by Pitt. BOB and his awful staff has lost this team after a month. That is pathetic.O'Brien looked more disinterested in his BC team today on the sidelines than even me. Down 14-0 in 2nd quarter, female side line reporter asks him.. " Coach, what do you have to do to get your offense going ? " O;Brien replied...." I don't know . We can't convert on 3rd down " Turns out he was right on BOTH points. Would anybody here be surprised if O'Brien has already had his agent on stand by notice to make calls about possible NFL job openings for 2026 ? O'Brien is going to pull a Hafley on BC as it looks to me like O'Brien has already checked out mentally on this BC football program as much as most of us still remaining here have.

Again, explain to me how we score 40 against MSU and 7 against Pitt and the HC isn’t the problem? Who is he developing? Lonergan gets worse every game. What excuse? And he can’t even measure up to a career defensive coordinator, a first time HC, and the guy who sucked at Temple. But, yes, it’s completely unreasonable for people to be disappointed in a guy with that resume underperforming much, much crappier hires.Yep. 6th time is the charm as they say. BOB hasn’t had a good season either; but it’s not his fault the roster sucks. You can’t blame BOB for either the Stanford or MSU losses. Those were strictly on the players’ mistakes on the field. He had a successful first season. A realistic goal for his second season was 6 wins. He now is sitting here at 1-4 after a soft as puppy shit schedule and his team and his staff look about as disinterested as any team we’ve seen recently. Bill O’Brien is not the victim here.Let’s say he doesn’t want to be here. What does that tell you? BabyJagz said:So, when players don’t make mistakes and the team wins, we all would be giving BOB credit for cleaning up a mess. However, when they do make a bunch of mistakes and we lose, he doesn’t deserve any of the blame? And why can’t BoB be expected to coach up sub par talent? What exactly are we paying him to do? We paid more than we normally do for this exact reason - to maximize the talent on the team. And I don’t think anyone can argue that he’s even come close to doing that. Just look at Lonergan. He has gotten worse every game. And QB coaching is BOB’s area of expertise. I guess we can just blame all the players for everything if that makes us feel better. There is plenty of blame to go around and BOB has earned his fair share. All of this might be true, but he’s only responsible for about 25% of the roster, with that being all underclassmen (or transfers).
