Good, hope on3 keeps bringing Ellison up unlike that athletic puff piece for UM last Saturday that tried to make it seem like it wasn’t really about the money

I don't know who from Michigan said that Bryce wanted to come to Michigan for free. As a Wolverine paying member and participant on "The Fort", 95% of those people know that we needed elite NIL money to sway Bryce to Michigan (as well as other prospects at the end of the last recruiting cycle). Michigan had been lost in the wilderness with NIL until Larry's wife got a delightful check from her husband to give to our collectives. We are obviously loving the Larry Ellison money train.

From the Michigan fans I've read messages from and talked with personally, it has been unanimous in the understanding his commitment was bought. After the flip, however, there has been multiple waves of puff PR pieces from Michigan-aligned/adjacent sources that attempted to twist the narrative into it being much less about money and more so it being a serious change of heart, wanting to stay home and fulfill a childhood dream, not forget where he came from, yada yada

I'm sure Bryce will turn out to be a fine quarterback, but boy did I chuckle when I saw Underwood's stat line from last weekend

Most Freshman starting QB's (most college QB's first true road game), end in disaster. Michigan's offensive line sucked last year... and is not much better this year. Michigan's recruiting took a big hit due to lack of NIL for 2021, 2022 and 2023 (despite winning a TON). In addition, Moore has failed to develop what he does have with Grant Newsome the last two years on the O-Line. It will be tough treading this year and next unless they find good portal linemen. And Sherrone Moore might not be the coach two years from now if he cannot figure that part out. Expect 3 or 4 more games this year where Underwood only throws for 150 on 12 completions. They can't block for him. The coaches cannot scheme around a bad offensive line. This was always going to be Michigan's world post Harbaugh for a few years.

Agreed. They’ll be too stubborn to do it after this year.

Oh that’s….that’s just wasting a lot of time, damn. The thing is, I like you guys better than Ohio State. I can’t totally root for you right now, but I don’t want you to think I’m coming in bad faith.

To be honest, I think Venrables was gonna abuse any freshman starter or first time starter back there. He’s an elite defensive coach and if Bryce carved him up then Brent’s seat would be on fire I imagine

If you’re actually a Michigan fan (and you seem genuine) my question is who is going to catch the ball for Bryce? I think y’all signed Marsh, Blair and the transfer from Indiana, but is that enough? I feel like given how many good WRs were in the portal that Michigan would have been a much bigger player there. Justice Haynes was a really good pickup but does the offense have enough firepower to take advantage of an elite talent like Bryce?

Not right now they don’t. They need another top 10 recruiting class this year and get some Oline men developed or transferred in to even give him a chance next year. But Bryce won’t be utilized to his real skill set here until he’s a Junior. Just the Michigan DNA issue. What would Les Miles have done with Bryce? That’s what we are dealing with up here.
