When I hear a recruit want to come to Nebraska because it is “so much like a family” that immediately tells me they are not tough. It feels soft and makes it look like they need to be coddled.
That’s a soft culture. We need a hard ass. Pelini had it, sans the thin skin, anger management issues.
Riley was Rhule-like without the charisma.
Frost was lazy and drunk on being worshipped by the fanbase.
Rhule spends too much time being “the fun guy” and making/being on podcasts.
I don’t think Saban was a nice guy and “fun” as a head coach? Rhule needs to be less worried about being the cool, fun guy and more on being a hard ass with high expectation. If expectations aren’t met, then players get booted from the team.
Players who can’t handle the heat and want to “test the portal”?. Bye!
It’s time to kick some ass and commit war crimes on the field. No more talk, just kick someone’s ass.
