Had a real shot to be right there at half. Awful throw by Joey! I personally don’t like that formation because everyone knows you aren’t handing it off. Just an awful throw! Team gutted leaving the field with Bama getting the ball.
Tennessee’s inability to play clean is no surprise but it kills them when the refs aren’t exactly calling it both ways. Brazzell was bodied on the fade…multiple other non calls on Bama. Ultimately, Tennessee can’t continue to do this if they want to take big steps. They have come so far under Josh but to take it further, they have to figure this out and that starts with the head coach. It’s not over but it’s teetering with Bama getting opening second half kickoff.
