He’s nuts if he takes that job. I think Kelly gets canned at LSU, and Franklin potentially gets offered that job.

They don't have the NIL,and he won't be able to recruit at a high level.

How can this be? Sparty Spiro says the next coach will be Urban...🤔🤣

That would be awesome from a Michigan perspective. Michigan owned him when he was at PSU with a much better program and resources. He would never beat Michigan there.

Yes, and would be a pain in the a** in recruiting.

Less threatening than prime Dantonio, more than the mooks they’ve had since.

Still waiting on that article to come out. and MSU always thinks they will get the big name. they likely have talked but the coaching carosuel will be inane this off season. Franklin can do a lot better then MSU. but it would be fun, he stinks.

I think that’d be a good hire for them tbh

If I were Franklin, Id wait. Inherent limitations of resources and recruiting vs UM/OSU/ND seem like a recipe for perennial 7-5/8-4 seasons (and that would be good). There will be other openings at places more ready to win in the near future I think.

Why would James Franklin go to MSU? He would have to demand greatly upgraded facilities, greatly upgraded NIL, and if you have to demand those things it's a sign the school isn't really willing.

I think its going to be Narduzzi. They're not going to bring in some random.

He will need to brush up on a Cajun accent

Better chance then Franklin. but are they really firing Smith after 2? Color me skeptical at this point.

So they fire their coach, owe him 30 million dollars and have money to pay Franklin?

He wouldn’t want to play Michigan every year

Don’t forget that Coach Tugger still wants his money from them too.

That feels like another bad fit for LSU if they hire Franklin.

There’s no way LSU is hiring Franklin

It’ll be either Fitzgerald or Brian Hartline.

That would be a great hire for them, knowing your ceiling is probably 10-2 and a playoff berth. I think he'll have better fits but it's a money game now.
