What's a non-disparagement provision? Does that mean he doesn't get his money if he says mean things?

Not bad. Hale reporting Stein making $5.5 a year. So overall it’s not too much more expensive than keeping Stoops

I’m actually glad that he didn’t take less money. As he shouldn’t. This is a billion dollar industry. Not a charity. This is him actually basically loaning money to the school interest free.

Man I'd love to be a fly on the wall when that $4m drops into Stoops account in a couple days. Image

If means if he wants to get paid, he can’t tell the truth about the support or lack thereof he received from Mitch and the entire NIL setup.

He’s getting a good chunk up front, then about $7 million a year.
I said this before, but I’ll repeat it again. Mitch handled this whole situation BEAUTIFULLY. He reached out to Stein (and maybe Sumrall) when we were 2-5 and it looked like a separating was unavoidable. When we got curb stomped the last two games, he made the difficult but correct call, in letting Stoops go. BUT, he did it in such a manner that was a win-win for Stoops and UK. Stoops is getting his $$$, but the buyout timeline isn’t going handcuff UK athletics.

At least someone from this year got their money right. Crazy thing is, it’s still not Garrett

He has a chance to do the funniest thing in the world by recreating the Calzada video.

The disparagement clause a normal thing? Cause if not that could be telling.

Mitch is on the books for over 12 million per year to football coaches until 2031… let that sink in

The absence of a mitigation clause is inexcusable. Even more so, though is the absence of people being accountable for writing the contract (Attorneys) approving contract (board) and signing the contract (AD).

Those 4th of July pool parties at Stoops' place are going to be epic!

That’s still an insane amount of money and a terrible contract but I’m glad things ended as well as they could have.

Plus Barnhart doesn’t deserve to be bailed out, so I’m good with it.

I do wonder if Barnhart is still "proud of that" buyout structure? My guess, he would say, "yes."

I think Auburn is still paying Malzahn and LSU is paying Orgeron. A&M had to lump sum Jimbo. Part of being a school that takes football seriously.
