The Sweet 16 ain’t all that great when you realize we were 6th in the SEC, got blown out by Alabama in the SEC tournament and then blown out by Tennessee in our NCAA appearance.

It’s the measuring stick most people talk about when you talk about being successful in a season. Sweet sixteens are hard to reach for most programs outside of most blue bloods. Regardless you can’t go backwards your second season.

The Sweet 16 should be the at absolute bottom for UK as far as being a measuring stick. I agree with you.

I would say clean house with whatever players are cancers and fight through the rest of the season or quit. Either way the boosters are gonna crap.

If you google mark pope accomplishments, they are his top 2. Looked like a great candidate to me.

• 2023 WCC Tournament: Won multiple games (Quarterfinals) as a #5 seed before losing to #1 seed Saint Mary's in the semifinals.

if the season ends like the last 5 games, he will resign - it will be his own decision and he'll apologize to BBN for letting it happen on his watch. He loves the program that much. But between now and then he is going to do everything he can to get this right. And I think UK owes him that.

I don’t buy it. He made some eye popping adjustments last year and this year he doesnt even try. Something bad is going on behind the scenes.
