RedRaider1234 said:Not going to lie — I was a student from 2009–2013 and never threw a single tortilla. My parents talked about it from their time at Tech in the 90s, but honestly, I think the tradition’s a bit overblown. I don’t remember it being nearly this widespread back then. You can go back and watch old games on YouTube — it just wasn’t every single fan doing it like it is now. BNK last year really blew the tradition up. I appreciate it for what it is, but it’s gotten out of hand. At this point, I think it needs to stop — at least during the game. The “just one at kickoff” idea won’t work; there’ll always be a few drunk fans who don’t care. Maybe keep it for post-game only if we have to keep it at all. What has changed this year compared to past years? This has been going on for years, why all of the attention all of a sudden?

Also from what I saw at the game Saturday the tortillas that continued to be thrown after the first penalty were coming from student sections. It is what it is. No way that $100,000 fine is enforced IMO.I can see opponents trying to nail us in the wallet by chunking from their sections.
