The Truth About The Raiola’s.

Rhule sold his soul to them. A huge gamble. Dylan making millions and his uncle has been underperforming for years. I believe Rhule has zero balls to make a tough decision. No player or coach should be greater than the whole team. If Rhule doesn’t take a stance about the direction then he will lose this team. Time to fish or cut bait with the Raiola’s.

You somehow think that Rhule is so interwoven with the Raiola’s Thay he won't make a change with Donnie. I would find it mote believable that they see what fixes are needed to move forward and keep Dylan healthy.

You’re ok with how it’s going? Let me guess you also thought we should’ve extended and gave Rhule a raise before the last game too.

If Donavan doesn’t get at a minimum an additional OL coach added and his role reduced then Rhule is being controlled by the Raiola’s. This OL is the worst we have had in my 57 years being a Husker fan.

I don’t think you’re wrong. It’s the elephant in the room. Those who laugh at this are walking around with blinders on.

DR is not our biggest problem by a large margin. The other DR who protects his nephew is. That the glaring issue currently.

As I said, firing uncle donny is worth the chance of losing Dylan Raiola to the portal. Nothing will be fixed until the lines are fixed (defense too). Doesnt matter who the qb is.

From HuskerOnline this morning, an issue for coaches to address. Why did you not run the damn ball? "38 called passes to 16 runs at Minnesota: Quite possibly the biggest mystery on Friday at Minnesota was seeing NU called 38 passing plays to just 16 runs. This comes after their best running game of the season at Maryland, which helped neutralize the Terps’ pass rush.On Friday, Minnesota recorded a sack on 23.7 percent of every called pass play. I’m not sure we’ve ever seen a number like this before. NU even averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 15 first-down run plays (One was a Dylan Railoa cramble). Emmett Johnson had just two carries on non-first-down plays, while Isaiah Mozeee had just one. So 13 of Nebraska’s 16 tailback carries came on first down plays, and just three were after."

What you said is Rhules problem. Reduced role. He doesn't fire. As for beholding to the Raiolas. That we will have to see at seasons end. Donnie R has run his course. His style and coaching techniques. Just don't seem to be working here.

That was me! I posted the idea of an extension and raise. Obviously had to put my foot in my mouth, but I still believe Rhule is the type of coach we need. Am I okay with how it’s going? Yes and no! 2 years ago 5-2 would look fantastic, so yeah happy with some progress. Do I think changes need to be made, absofreakinglutely. Say what you will about Rhule and the Raiola family, but if you can’t see that Dylan is a damn good QB, then I’d question your football IQ. Is it time to replace Donny as lead O-line coach, yes it is. Do I think Rhule has the balls to do it, yes, but he will be strategic in how he does it. He’s not brash or quick tempered, and that will play in the long run. It’s okay to not be happy with how things are going and still support the progress we’ve seen.

I think this is the way to go. Get a Co-OL coach. That way if we do end up cutting ties, we have some continuity. Put Donnie in charge of IOL and the new guy in charge of OT?

I don't think hes our biggest problem. I also don't think hes worth the $ he's getting. Several of the sacks are on him and he's no threat to run the ball. Next year, we could reallocate his money to lineman and other positions, with TL at QB and be an overall stronger team.

Look around college football. It's a mess everywhere. Everyone loses games now (except maybe ohio st and indiana haha). We are super flawed, same flaws we found a way to win with the two weeks prior. We are 5-2 and yes, the o-line play is not acceptable, but we can't expect to fire coaches in the middle of the season year after year like he did with Sat last year. Buckle up cuz it won't be pretty all the time, but we still have a chance to have a productive season.
