Lane’s had weeks to think about this. At this point just make a decision. Or flip a coin!

Seems he is trying to have cake and eat it too. Wants out but wants us to make the move for him. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point. Never seen anything like it and never will be anything like it.

I've been out all day. I just went to my phone thinking they'd be a decision for sure.
But if someone else just posted, clearly a decision has been made. If he were staying he would have announced it

What’s ridiculous is the Admin being played like a fiddle and letting this drag out for so long. Pathetic.

Unless he is asking for a lot more. The longer it goes I could go either way, but I lean to he is gone

He’s made his decision. He’s just trying to tank Ole Miss while he’s at it

It’s all legal. We can’t reassign him without triggering the buyout until after the regular season (the SEC Title game is a part of the regular season). That’s my only guess. If true and we play in the SEC Title game, he will delay the decision. This is a guess.

This is all a guess - just expecting him to look for a way not to decide today and if we don’t hear before the Iron Bowl, the guess would make a lot of sense. What's your source that the SEC title game is legally considered part of the regular season? I haven't found anything that confirms that

Rebel Man said:If the contract says that, you are right. If the definition for triggering the buyout says regular season or conference championship, it is effectively the regular season. It’s the contract language that matters. The SEC title game is considered the postseason.
