Shane could have brought in a big time OC with Sellers. He will regret this decision to hire Shula. Wasting a season with Sellers in program is going to be hard to recover from

You gotta be a little conservative with the field position we’ve had. Starting field position has been the 2, 3 10, 10. Definitely a strange start to the game and a bunch of mistakes but clean it up and all is good.

yeah he looks uncomfortable. Is it the calls? Is it just knowing the line sucks? I dunno. But he doesn’t look like October/November 2024 sellers.

i kinda can see how this game is more of a let’s see some of the other parts of the playbook to see what’s possible. not our staple plays. i wouldn’t think this would be a game where we needed sellers to burn his legs trying to win. and our o line should be operating much better than what we’re seeing. we should be able to handle this game at 50% offensive capacity. “should” being the key assumption. we may actually need to dial it up though, swain couldn’t possibly get another punt return house call.

Sellers seems lost out there.

But wait? Sellers wanted Shula as his OC I thought? I agree we’ve had to be conservative with the field position and the lapses from the line. But to be fair with Swain returning punts for tds we haven’t seen very much of the offense in the second quarter.

Some people were roasting me last week for complaing about Shula. He does nothing to confuse a defense or make them unsure of what's coming.You may not like Gus Malzhan, but when you play him, your eyes are going all over the place to see who is going where. Shula isn't a college OC, he needs to be in the pros. Different game.

I figured it would be basic this week but also wanted to see 200+ rushing. Got by VT without showing much life and now no life right now on offense. was hoping it was just keeping it quiet for first conference game. They got a lot of growing to do in a week and the second half of this game

Minus last year as the one off beamer has not yet shaken the notion he doesn't have a eye for OC talent
