Tony Petitti has had an all-time disastrous week, and its Wednesday

The worst week in the history of a Big Ten commissioner ever. Am so sad.

A Tier-3 member school admits to a massive cheating scandal that vacated 3 years of games, the most games in the history of the Big Ten Conference. Tony is silent.
Michigan and USC stops his private equity "investment" payday loan scam and does so publicly.
Tony gets called out for threatening Michigan to accept the deal. ((4 regents confirmed on X yesterday.). It was a great Twitter day for all who celebrate.

Jordan Acker says Michigan will say no and then leave the Big Ten in 2036 at the end of grant of rights.

(AKA - Good luck trying to sell the B1G media deal now Tony)
The deal is 15 years and Jordan said Michigan will opt out in year 10 from the B1G.

Mark Bernstein -

"Nobody pushes around the University of Michigan - ever."
"The Big Ten conference commissioner has threatened the University of Michigan with penalties if we do not approve this deal"

Denise Illich -

"Truth. Multiple penalties if no vote . No bullying zone." γ€½οΈπŸ’›πŸ’™

Sarah Hubbard -

UC Investments (The investor) blows the deal up... "

"We remain convinced that the unity of the 18 Big Ten university members is the key to the success of the deal".

The B1G calls Michigan and their Regents liars:

"Big Ten denies Michigan regent's claim of coercion over $2.4B private equity plan"
Image

Tony proposes to scrap conference championship game with playoff playin game (might as well scrap the conference instead)
Tony proposes a 24 team playoff that literally nobody wants and is DOA
Maybe Tony thought that since he wrote us a nice principal's note to the NCAA over the SignGate penalties, we would be thankful to him. No Tony. Image The BEST part of this has to be the rest of the conference needing a payday loan, especially OSU. OSU has been silent on this, meaning they are willing to whore out brand equity for money. They need the money. Why on earth would we help any of these schools. Or give Tony what he wants. Image If Tony hated us before (thanks to being a Delany bottom), he REALLY hates us now. Image

All well and good except for the fact that the conference and NCAA have pushed Michigan around for decades. Hopefully this will wake them up.

This is the important part that many have forgotten. Delaney the Petitti puppet master.

One positive of the private equity discussion is msu fans having to reckon with the fact that they're seen as one of the poverty programs when the proposed tiered payout system was revealed. Their commentary has been pretty entertaining lol

Exactly. All of this happened only because Michigan NEVER fought back in the past.

I wish Little Tony had a social media account so we could roast the bastard for being OSU's little butt boy. I was going to say, "F*** Tony Petitti", but apparently that's what he likes OSU to do to him.

X blew up yesterday and most of the Big Ten realized that they were Rutgers. That has to sting, a lot.

Btw - what is the justification for Penn State to be a tier 1 school. The payment tiers are ludicrous and sloppy like this whole scheme.

Worst week was probably for Delany when ND said they were joining the Big Ten, only to not. Or when Rutgers and Maryland said yes, and then asked for emergency loans (that's a joke, sort of).

I get the sentiment about Youth Sports, but NIL makes it not a youth sport.

Yeah I was watching some network yesterday that was talking about how Lane Kiffin's situation adversely affects the Ole Miss locker room and how these players are going to be so harmed because "they don't understand the business side" of all this.. I sat there staring dumbfounded wondering WTF this dude was talking about. You could say that before the advent of NIL and the transfer portal...but not anymore. These kids know exactly the business side of things, they ARE the business side of things... Just an incredible clueless take by that guy... The players aren't "victims" anymore...

Tiny Tony is very high up on my list of guys who are in over their head and do not deserve to be anywhere they ended up. Our problem is that he and the Bucks are so tied together that our leverage with him is basically shooting down deals that require us. He will continue to look for ways to screw us, and the Bucks are more than happy to oblige with whatever Tony might have up his sleeve.

Tony got out over his skis in 2023, with us. Looks like he has lost the plot.

Well, he failed to produce the OSU loan, so they may go the other way.

Karma is a b$tch. Tony β€œlow T, micro P” Petitti is one of the worst human beings ever involved in college sports (and that’s saying a whole lot). I hope UofM wins the basketball national championship this year for many reasons, but one of the main one is to force him to be subject to more UofM supporters abuse. That chicken sh$t won’t be in Ann Arbor for the game because he knows exactly how Ann Arbor feels about him.

This is different, it's about money, lots and lots of money. As a bonus we get to stick it up the azzzz's of the AD's and coaches that tried to screw us over in 2023. ,
