Trey'Dez Green update

Disclaimer: I do not have a solid timeline for a return yet Spoke with a couple of folks in the know this morning, and the current expectation/going thought is that it is not a season-ending injury for tight end Trey'Dez Green. I'm waiting to hear more on the exact injury and when a return could be possible, but there is confidence that it is not season-ending. I'm sure @Shea Dixon will weigh in as well.

Pete and myself have both been working the phones today to get y’all the latest here. Good news is word coming that it’s not season-ending.

It looked like a MCL sprain those can be tricky … 6 weeks but playoffs before he’s explosive

I don't understand how he was warming up to try and come back in last night to now being out 3 weeks

Have you ever had an ankle sprain before? They usually fully manifest the next day.

Green needs to play WR, he is not a TE

After they wrap it back up and maybe some meds, I’ve seen many a player play or try and play after a sprained ankle, usually not successfully. After trying to warm up he knew he was done.

He's 6'7 245lbs as a true sophomore. How will he not get to the 260s with that frame just on natural growth alone? Also he'd be slow for WR.

And 3 weeks(which could mean 4,5,6 weeks) is only because of the tightrope surgery I’m betting he will have tomorrow. Before this surgery it was 6 weeks at best for high ankle sprains and they could heal much slower than that sometimes.

He’s not near quick enough to play receiver.
