Trinidad Chambliss Waiver Ruling Delayed

Bullet points of note:
  • Ole Miss filed for waiver on November 16th
  • NCAA deemed to need ‘more information’
  • Chambliss hired legal representation to expedite decision
  • Chambliss’ legal team says the NCAA would cost him ‘millions’ if decision doesn’t come before Jan. 2 when the Transfer Portal opens
  • Initial feedback was the waiver WILL NOT be granted
  • NCAA is claiming that Chambliss’ team hasn’t provided enough documentation to warrant a medical redshirt for the 2022 season
  • No timeline for decision

If there’s one thing i’m not worried about, it’s Lane Kiffin finding a QB. Chambliss or not, Lane will find his guy

Sounds like the original waiver request was all but denied and this delay stems from Chambliss' rebuttal. Meanwhile, TJ Finley is about to suit up for his 7th team in as many years. Also - I had no clue Finley has had 3 kids since leaving LSU. Just chasing NIL checks as long as he can.

With the recent smoke on Lagway, I wonder if Lane got news Chambliss isn’t getting the waiver and Leavitt’s injury is worse than initially thought.

Apparently this tom mars guy owns the NCAA in cases against athletes. Only thing is this dude is an ole miss guy helping him get the waiver approved.

He has definitely showed his asss throughout Kiffin's departure. Chambliss getting his waiver approved and leaving for LSU soon after would be icing on the cake.

After reading the article I’m not sure the NCAA is going to reconsider their original ruling. His waiver claim is that he didn’t play in all but 2 games that year due to respiratory issues that started in august, but he didn’t get his tonsils removed until December. If I was the NCAA I’d want to see medical records showing the reasoning for that, because on the surface that seems like someone who was holding off surgery in case he needed to play
