We will chat at noon, but a couple things ...

as is the case in coaching searches, we will be here all day, every day to answer your questions. And yesterday morning was an absolutely crazy one. Without going into detail, I'm grateful to those who stepped up the way they did. It was clear Sherrone had some issues, and if a few people hadn't made phone calls ... I don't even want to think about it. He needed help, and that was becoming more and more clear. It's obvious football and family were not his focus. Regardless, Michigan is going to end up with a really good coach and in a much better situation going forward. Sherrone was not going to work, and I think a good portion knew it.

Thanks, Chris for the update, prayers and well wishes to your family, it comes first and foremost. I agree on Moore, definitely sounds there were deeper issues that would have likely got worse and worse.....very sad situation.

Do you have a read on whether Warde makes it or not?

Thanks for info, CB. Yesterday was probably the weirdest day I have had in 20+ years of being a UM fan. Hope Sherrone gets the help he needs and I hope the UM athletic department could be normal for a few years.

CB can you elaborate on Moore having “issues” in the last week or so?

Yeah, obviously hoping that Sherrone gets the help he needs but it was becoming clear he was not the guy. UM needs to move quickly and smartly over the next couple days. CB and all mods: How difficult is it to cover a team/coach that you know is not a great guy?

@ChrisBalas Are you expecting some kind of presser from the school today? Not even sure who would run it at this point. Dare they trot Warde up to a microphone on the heels of all of this?

@ChrisBalas Thanks for all you do for this site and the fanbase. Wishing you and your family the best, sending thoughts and prayers. I stepped away for awhile after Moore was hired, glad I rejoined The Fort yesterday as stuff was breaking...you are the best in the business and I appreciate the honest reporting of this place so much with all the other crap out there.

I'd like to thank Harbaugh for recommending Sherrone. He's a great judge of character.

It’s a ginormous shame this is how the band aid was ripped off. But it’s ripped off, and now it’s go time. Our floor candidate will be a better head coach than Moore. We’ll be okay.

The fact people knew Moore wasn't the guy (both on and off the field) but Warde caped up for him for far too long is the biggest problem we have moving forward.

Thanks for your diligence on this particularly with your family concerns, pray that all goes well. Agree that Michigan should definitely be far better off from a long term perspective when the dust settles on the new hire.

my wife had me put one on, I think more to nag me than anything else (you are by the store, stop in and get this, the post office, the drug store, blah blah blah)! But yeah, his wife had to know, the world seemed to know...
