Anyone concerned over the lack of experience we have from our wide receiver room? Of the 9 players we have for 2026, we have a former walk on now on scholarship, and three true freshman.
Are we looking at getting another experienced wide receiver, or are we done with this position group?

Definitely a super thin room but I think the top 4-5 guys have the potential to make it a very good one

Guys want to play, and now they have the leverage of picking the school where they will do so immediately no matter how productive they have been.Welcome to the nil and transfer period of college football gone are the days of stacking 4 and 5 star kids at every position

It's thin but I think we can get some production from Ced Morgan and the top 3 have the potential to be very good. IF they stay healthy and Meadows comes along, we will be fine.

Did the Harvard receiver sign with Stanford or is he still in play?

you aren't gonna get experienced portal guys to come in and sit the bench. No way for them to upgrade their status the following year. We pulled in this many linemen because there is a legit opportunity to win jobs.

Not worried about the talent or the experience. I am worried about the overall depth. Would like to add 1 more WR and 1 more RB in case of injury.

They have to see the opportunity too. Does this Miami kid think he can play over Ryan, Lotzier and Rogers? Yes, Nico Brown signed with Stanford (as Insider Aiden said he would all along)...

We had little experience last year as well. Only Germie was someone with “more experience.”
Horton was a reserve in Miami. Ryan was just a sophomore. Rico was a redshirt freshman; Lotzier and Meadows were true freshmen. Cole Adams was the same (he practically only played on ST).
This year we will have Ryan as a junior, Lotzier as a sophomore, Rodgers as a redshirt junior, Meadows as a redshirt freshman, and Rico as a redshirt sophomore.

Unlike other positions.. We only play our starters barring injury I would think we will be fine with 4-5.

You have meadows who got hurt but I think the staff felt really good about him going into the Missouri game before he got smacked and probably rested him the rest of the way. I was pretty high on meadows , knew he was raw year 1 but you can’t teach that size and speed. Then you have CD Morgan who probably is the best jump ball guy on the team and coming out of hs who I bet gets a lot of run with meadows at the X. Sure the uncertainty a lot of people don’t like but we have the experience but sometimes freshman/sophomores have to step up. Your gonna have guys xiaver griffin, jireh, cd Morgan , sutter, Nolan Wilson and Jamarion mathews That are all guys who can step in.Anyone concerned over the lack of experience we have from our wide receiver room? Not going to lie, I like Lane’s approach to his WR room. Stacks guys with experience and rotates a lot. No clue how he keeps them all happy, but he does. Our approach, which isn’t exclusive to Alabama, puts a lot of pressure on the top guys to perform. Lane’s approach doesn’t require that.
I know this thread isn’t about him, but I observed that recently.

Ryan Williams, Lotty Brooks, Noah Rodgers, Rico Scott are all pretty experienced receivers I would say.
