We are prisoners of the moment. I have been super critical of Sherrone, but the most likely outcome is a 9-2 team heading into the game with a shot at Indy on the line. Sherrone will be at Michigan in 2026, barring a loss Saturday. If they lose Saturday, all bets are off.

I think Fisch blows Sherrone out this weekend and we see a continued unraveling of the season. That said, I don’t see Sherrone going unless Warde goes 1st. At least not in 2026

As much as I don’t like Sherrone and don’t think he’s the future one bit, we likely won’t see a new coach in the next at least 2 years. We would kill recruiting momentum, a good new hire might help that, but I’m realistic and know Warde wouldn’t pull the trigger barring maybe 6 straight losses to end the year which also won’t happen. All I can do is hope this staff rights the ship and the changes that absolutely need to happen this offseason do.

This is extremely unlikely, unless you believe Vegas likes to lose money.

That was Rich Rods biggest problem, not letting friends go (assistant coaches who did not produce) who do not produce. O line, WR, special teams. Not a one year situation with any of them. Say what you want about Wink, but where would Michigan be without him?

I hope so! Moore supporters love saying that Harbs left him a rebuild, Jedd was left a true rebuild and will probably be 2-0 vs Moore! Washington has 18 blue chip players on their roster, UM has 53!

I have no problem with Wink: a lot of people are blaming him for a lot and while I don’t think he’s perfect the struggle on offense and special teams highly outweighs what the defense has done. The defense is what will win the game against Washington and if we are to beat OSU just like last year.

What about a loss against, msu, NU, Maryland …. This team has the capacity to lose or win any of those.

Yes - IMHO, Moore absolutely does deserve to be our HC in 2026 unless the wheels completely fall off and we end up going 6-6 or 7-6 this season. I do think if we are not competing for a playoff berth (9+ wins) next season, 2027 may be his last season with us.

MSU and Maryland won't be as easy as we think, especially with the flaws we have. We will beat NW and Purdue - pretty confident about that. But yeah, 6-6 is certainly not out of the realm of possibility, and if we lose Saturday then 7-5 may likely be where we end up!!!

If he gets next year and doesn’t reach the playoffs, why would he get 2027??

I think the 2026 coach of the Florida Gators will be on the opposite sideline on Saturday.

And that should get him fired immediately.

Image These threads lately have been insane. The only way Moore is fired is if they lose the rest of the year or 6-6... and with the talent Michigan has and the schedule that's in front of them, I just don't see any chance of Michigan doing that

I just do not believe he will be let go this early - I think with the recruiting classes they have coming, unless the wheels completely fall off he will be our HC until the end of 2027. The worst scenario in my mind would be 8-4 this year, 9-3 next year (schedule is brutal but we miss playoffs) and then potentially 9-3 in 2027. To me, what do you do then because you are pretty much stuck in mediocrity at that point.

I kinda agree...I can see us easily go 6-6 at that point.
