Sure, call him. But there’s a 0.0% chance he takes the job. Dude is old and retired bc he didn’t want to coach in this era. Not happening, Not a solution.

Woodward needs nothing to do with hiring the next football coach is what Woodward needs to do

The only call Scott needs to make is to a moving company. He rolled the dice on BK and he now has lost his bet. His stupidity will cost us for years to come.

Here’s the problem with Woodward… he’s a “big game hunter”… not because he’s some savant but because he’s spending other people’s money and bc he’d rather go out and hire a big name than actually do the grunt work. He does this because if a guy like Brian Kelly doesn’t work it’s “not my fault! He was an elite coach! Can’t believe it didn’t work!” What’s aggravating to me is that when he’s actually done the hard work he’s made a great hire in Jay Johnson. But he’d rather take the easy road- which makes him and BK 2 peas in a pod. ETA- I give Woody barely any credit for getting Mulkey. Any AD with any skill or awareness at all could’ve made that hire.

I don’t give him credit for Jay either because Jay was always enamored with our baseball program and Skip so would have taken the job regardless who was AD.

I can only imagine the giggle Saban would let out if Woodward even remotely alluded to coaching at LSU again 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It wasn’t hard finding Jay Johnson, he wasn’t some hidden gem discovered at Delgado!

Woodward should call Saban and hire him to select the next LSU coach. I don’t see Saban. Coming out of retirement.

This is not true. He retired to be with his with his wife who was showing early signs. I do think he wants back in now.

That was a baseless rumor that he’s refuted. Also- think logically for one minute- if he quit the job to savor his last years with his wife, why would he take a job that sent him on the road every weekend for 4 months a year? Yes it’s less work that coaching by far, but “hey honey I know you’ll be gone soon but I’m gonna take this job that takes me away for 16 weekends a year for no reason” just makes no sense on its face.

If you ever had a family member go through this, you know that once they cross over- they do not come back. If it is true, i think he probably sees theres just not much he can do day in and day out. Hed rather be back on the field than the going through that with a caretaker. Maybe im wrong, but i have been listening closely to how hes spoken about LSU recently and it's very interesting.
