He's not as senile as Les Miles but this would be a similar type of hire (well past his prime, can't adapt to the modern environment) and the result would likely be the same.

His best attribute has always been recruiting and most of that advantage was negated by NIL, he also won’t use the transfer portal Not sure if I could think of a worse hire off the top of my head (maybe Belichick)

What skillset does the ideal College Football coach have in the new NIL era? Given it may be different depending on how well bankrolled the program is. Player retention? Ego management? Teaching concepts quickly?
