Welp, as of midnight all Disney owned channels like ABC/ESPN channels are offline. Both are greedy bastards. Back to Spectrum I go until it gets resolved.

I think Hulu+live TV, FUBO, Sling, and Directv all have ESPN and a free trial. If you have already already used the free trial you can sign up for one of these and be good for maybe a week.

All these streaming services are taxing the hell out of us. Tired of this BS. Disney monopolizes everything

I use Fubo and get ESPN+ free now. I just need to find an internet provider other than Mediacom that doesn’t freeze the stream 10 times a game

Well shit. I use my company’s login for Youtube TV so I dont actually pay for it. So - for tomorrow, what can I download to get ESPN? Sucks I wont have multiview. Lots of good games leading up to 7:30

youtube tv was such a great deal for so long and then this shit keeps happening. major channel drops, they renegotiate and then in a month we’re paying $20 more a month.
cable companies are smiling cause all the alternative tv options are just gonna keep going up until it makes sense to buy their service again

Doesn’t this usually get resolved right before any meaningful mass of games kick off?

Kelly Quinlan said:Ironically this is all directly driven by CFB. ESPN is in a position of needing to increase their revenue directly related to their huge revenue commits/contracts with CFB conferences. Also take note of ESPN's upward trending advertising time allocations during games over the past few years. Like all the others, this dispute will likely get resolved within a week or two with YT paying more and increasing their fees to consumers. It's all part of the viscous cycle of higher CFB TV contracts, Conference revenue share, coaching salaries, etc... Another interesting component of all this is Disney's current acquisition of Fubo which means Hulu and Fubo are both in the Disney fold. So a dispute like this only helps drive consumers from Google/YT to Disney/Hulu/Fubo... Capitalism at work!Amazing how this **** always coincides with CFB season.

I actually quit live tv streaming services. I just have espn unlimited, fox one, peacock, paramount plus, prime and Netflix. All sports are covered and since I don’t watch the news then I’m not missing anything.

This one makes me a little nervous as ESPN has significantly more leverage now with their standalone service. I may wait till tomorrow but I'm not so sure it'll turn back on like it has in the past.
