The 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships have five sessions left but before the Friday madness, there are 10 intriguing matchups in the pre-quarterfinal round Thursday night.

Across all 10 weight classes, we did a difficult exercise in picking the best match to watch at each weight. Just watch them all!

Here are 10 we’re watching for as Session 2 approaches!

125: No. 8 Richie Figueroa (Arizona State) vs. No. 9 Patrick McKee (Minnesota)
133: No. 3 Kai Orine (NC State) vs. No. 14 Jacob Van dee (Nebraska)
141: No. 23 Danny Fongaro (Indiana) vs. No. 26 Vance Vombaur (Minnesota)
149: No. 8 Casey Swiderski (Iowa State) vs. No. 9 Ethan Fernandez (Cornell)
157: No. 5 Ryder Downey (UNI) vs. No. 12 Bryce Andonian (Virginia Tech)
165: No. 7 Izzak Olejnik (Oklahoma State) vs. No. 10 Cam Amine (Michigan)
174: No. 4 Shane Griffith (Michigan) vs. No. 13 Justin McCoy (Virginia)
184: No. 2 Isaiah Salazar (Minnesota) vs. No. 18 Ryder Rogotzke (Ohio State)
197: No. 8 Stephen Buchanan (Oklahoma) vs. No. 9 Stephen Little (Arkansas-Little Rock)
285: No. 6 Zach Elam (Missouri) vs. No. 11 Josh Heindselman (Oklahoma)

It was hard to pick just one wrestling match in each weight class, but nonetheless, you should get your popcorn ready for Thursday night.

The winners of each of these matches will advance to Friday morning’s quarterfinals. With that being said, each wrestler would be one win away from All-American status.

Appearing in the semifinals is an automatic top-six finish. Wrestlers need to finish top eight in order to become All-Americans.
