Calhoun (Ga.) junior Emaree Winston has all the offers he needs. The four-star tight end is coming off visits to Texas, Ohio State and Tennessee in recent weeks and he likely is nearing his commitment.

The No. 234 prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings has narrowed his list down to Ohio State, Texas and UCF. The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder thought about committing to the Buckeyes, Longhorns or Knights on Nov. 24, his grandfather’s birthday, but he has decided to take a little more time.

“I am down to those three schools because of the relationships I have with the coaches,” Winston told On3. “I have visited each school multiple times, I like the atmosphere at each and my connection is strong with the coaching staff. How those schools play makes them stand out too.”

Winston has visited Ohio State four times. Texas and UCF have had him on campus two times each. Conversations happen with coaches from each school almost daily. The decision is nearing, but the race is still tight.

“All three schools are right there together. My list has moved up and down some. There has been an order, but it still moves around. I am going to think about it a little more, and I think in December, I could be ready to commit.”

What it will come down to for Winston is where he feels like part of the family at. His relationship with the coaching staff, especially his position coach, carries a lot of weight.

Winston talks Ohio State, Texas and UCF

On Ohio State: “They have 105,000 people there every week. The stadium fills up, it is loud and I like the atmosphere. My relationship with Coach Keenan Bailey is big too. I always enjoy it when I am there. I was at the Michigan State game Saturday, the Michigan game last season and two times in the spring.”

On Texas: “I love how they use JT Sanders in the offense. They move him around, get him the ball in space and that really stands out. My relationships with Coach Jeff Banks and Coach Tashard Choice are strong too.”

On UCF: “It is like family with Coach Brian Blackmon and Coach Alex Mathis. We talk a lot, I like the environment and I may be back soon.”
