2025 CB Dante Core pushes back commitment date
Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) cornerback Dante Core has been working towards making his commitment, and a decision was expected at the beginning of the upcoming week for the 6-foot-1, 165-pounder.
That’s no longer on the docket, as Core tells On3 he’s opted to postpone his commitment as the likes Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU continue to work to land his pledge.
“I’m going to take a little more time and think on it to make sure,” Core said.
Core was on The Plains this weekend and Hugh Freeze’s program has had plenty of momentum with the defensive back. He was in Oxford on Thursday and Lane Kiffin’s staff isn’t taking their foot off the gas. He’s yet to make his way to Baton Rouge, but Core hears from LSU plenty.
Each SEC program has made Core feel like a priority. He picked up offers from the trio this spring and has continued to see his recruitment rise. Committing will have to wait a little longer, however.
