Major technical difficulties are currently making the Tennessee vs. Wake Forest winner-take-all regional final contest hard to watch. The game was set to be broadcast on ESPN2 starting at 6 p.m. ET.

In the meantime, the game will be streaming on Squeeze Play on ESPN+ until the major technical issue can be resolved, according to the Tennessee baseball team. That will force fans to head to streaming rather than watching on a linear cable channel.

UPDATE, 6:25 p.m. ET: It appears ESPN has sorted through the major technical difficulties and the game is now airing normally on ESPN2. All told, the hiccup only lasted several minutes.

The decisive game will determine who wins the Knoxville Super Regional and advances to the Super Regionals. Tennessee had a chance to close things out in the first meeting in the regional final on Sunday night, but it couldn’t seal the deal and ultimately fell 7-6.

Wake Forest walked it off with a walk with the bases loaded, as Tennessee was unable to find the strike zone. Jack Winnay walked in the winning run.

Prior to that, Tennessee had cruised in the Knoxville Regional. The Vols won their first two games decisively to advance to the regional final. Those wins were against Miami (OH) and Cincinnati, respectively, with both games decided by at least a four-run margin.

Summary of Tennessee’s wins

Tennessee 9, Miami (OH) 2

A five-run fourth inning put Tennessee in full control of Friday’s Knoxville Regional matchup against Miami (OH) en route to the 9-2 victory. The Volunteers got a big day out of Reese Chapman, who had a solo home run as part of a three-RBI day to help lead the charge and sent UT into the winners’ bracket.

Tennessee 10, Cincinnati 6

Tennessee took an early lead against Cincinnati, plating two runs in the first inning to jump out to the early lead. But the Bearcats would battle back. Ultimately, a four-spot for the Volunteers was enough to create ample cushion, and Tennessee would go on to win 10-6. Gavin Kilen led the way at the plate from the leadoff spot, finishing 4-of-6 with three runs scored.
