Trey McKenney, one of the top prospects in the 2025 class, has scheduled four official visits, he told On3. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound shooting guard out of Flint (Mich.) St. Mary’s will visit Ole Miss on September 30th, Missouri on October 6th, Rutgers on October 13th, and Georgetown on December 2nd.

The four-star guard has previously unofficially visited Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, McKenney is the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 5 shooting guard guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

McKenney talks his game and what he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with On3, Trey McKenney discussed his own game and what is it he’s looking for in a college.

“I’m tough,” McKenney told On3. “I can score on all three levels, and I bring the same toughness and intensity on the other end of the floor too. I watch a lot of Devin Booker and bigger guards like Joe Johnson.”

“I’ll be looking at the relationship the coaches build with, not only me but my family, too,” McKenney said. “I’m going to look at how I fit on the team, both on and off the floor, and I’ll see how big of a priority I am for the coaches and the program.

“I play my best in a freestyle offense where I can make quick decisions on and off the ball.”

McKenney’s On3 NIL Valuation worth $200K+

Trey McKenney’s current On3 NIL Valuation is $219,000. This valuation currently ranks him No. 27 in the On3 high school basketball NIL Ranking.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.

The On3 NIL Valuation accounts for an athlete’s roster value and brand value. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. Brand value factors in an athlete’s personal brand and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
