Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover decommitted from Alabama earlier this year. The No. 165 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking is being pursued by some top ACC and SEC programs and he has narrowed his list down to nine schools.

Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri and Tennessee made the cut.

“It was about the interest from these schools and the communication I have with them,” Glover told On3 about his top schools. “I have relationships with head coaches, offensive line coaches and some offensive coordinators at these schools. The relationships are important to me.”

Out of the nine schools on his list, Glover has visited Auburn (three times), Florida State, Georgia and Miami.

Glover visited Auburn, Florida State and Miami before the February dead period kicked in. He will take additional trips to Georgia and Georgia Tech (March 8), Florida State (March 23) and an inaugural visit to Missouri (March 15).

Glover also hopes to visit Arkansas and Tennessee for the first time this spring in addition to a possible return trip to Auburn as he works towards a commitment before his senior year.

“I am going to commit over the summer,” Glover added. “For me, every visit is important. I want to build strong relationships and see where I fit in at. The relationships and how I fit into the system are key when I commit.”

Florida State impressed Glover on his first visit

Glover visited Florida State for the first time in February. It went very well and the Seminoles will get an official visit.

“You can say Florida State is on top of my list right now,” Glover said. “I visited, I got the offer and I liked it a lot. “The staff really stood out. Coach Mike Norvell is a cool guy and I see him as a younger Nick Saban. He has great energy, he is a smart coach and he gives a lot to the game.

“Then Coach Alex Atkins reaches out as much as he can. He calls me, he texts me and he has always shown interest. We have a great relationship too.”

Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee sit high on Glover’s list

Three SEC programs have Glover’s attention.

Auburn: “I have visited Auburn three times and they have been recruiting me since the 10th grade. The old staff and the new staff has shown a lot of interest in me. I like Coach Hugh Freeze, the new coaches and what the team is doing. I have good connections with the players and the coaches there.”

Georgia: “I live in Georgia and a lot of people around me like Georgia. I camped there last summer and I like Coach Kirby Smart. Coach Stacy Searels and I stay in touch too. I hope to get back up there.”

Tennessee: “I haven’t visited yet, but I hope to this spring. So many coaches recruit me from Tennessee. Coach Glen Elarbee, Coach Josh Heupel, Coach Kevin Pendleton, Coach Max Thurmond – they all show love. I have to get up there.”
