4-star Keenan Harris commits to Missouri: 'I can’t wait to go be a game-changer in my home state'

St. Louis (Mo.) University linebacker Keenan Harris has decided to stay home and commit to Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers. He has close to 40 offers and other schools were in the mix, but Missouri offered him first and he is excited about playing in Columbia.

“It means a lot to stay home and play for Missouri, especially coming from a place like St. Louis,” Harris told On3. “The whole city will be looking and watching me put them on my back and there is nothing else I could really ask for. Nothing better than that.”

Missouri was always a top school for Harris, the No. 6 prospect in the Show Me State, and he saw no reason to leave.

“They have been recruiting me since I was young. They really have been on me and doing everything they can to get me. Coaches have always come to the school and come to see me play or even just constantly watching my flim and building an amazing bond with me and my family.

“Their message to me has always been that they can help me grow, not just as a football player, but as a man in this world. And that they can develop me and help me get to the next level, which is the NFL.

“When I made the decision, I committed to Missouri because they’ve been heavy on me in this process and I just feel that it’s my best opportunity to go somewhere and get on the field while doing what I want to do in the classroom.”

Harris has visited Missouri too many times to count. He has relationships with most of the coaching staff. He will return for his official visit in June and he will feel right at home.

“All I can say is, it feels like the crib when I am on campus,” Harris said. “I can’t wait to go be a game-changer in my home state.”
