Jackson (Ala.) four-star Landon Duckworth is one of the top two uncommitted quarterback prospects in the 2026 cycle. He was once pledged to South Carolina, but came back on the board last June.

One year later, Duckworth is once again nearing a decision. Once again, the Gamecocks are a finalist. He told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that South Carolina and Auburn are his final two schools.

And according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Duckworth is expected to visit the Tigers this weekend.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pegs the Gamecocks as the favorite in Duckworth’s recruitment. Earlier this month, On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos logged picks in favor of head coach Shane Beamer and his staff landing the state-champion gunslinger once again.

“When I decommitted, there was no love lost for me. Coach Beamer is a great coach and he has always been great with me,” Duckworth told On3’s Chad Simmons ahead of his South Carolina OV. “The connection that we have goes back a long time. Coach Beamer and the people there always make me feel at home.”

Duckworth has taken official visits to both of his finalists, checking out Auburn once again on May 30 before returning to Columbia last weekend. Florida State and Ole Miss were also set to get OVs across the next two weekends, but the Seminoles and Rebels are now on the outside looking in.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is the No. 61 overall prospect and No. 6 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Alabama.

Leading Jackson to a state title as a junior last season, Duckworth boosted his stock with a campaign that saw 3,439 passing yards and 39 touchdowns as well as 648 yards and 12 TDs on the ground. He’s got more than 6,700 total yards under his belt for the Aggies.
