Aaron Anderson injury update: LSU WR's status vs. South Carolina revealed on Wednesday availability report

The initial injury report for a Week 7 contest between LSU and South Carolina was released on Wednesday. That will allow fans to get an early glimpse at which players to keep an eye on from both the Tigers and Gamecocks heading into the matchup.
LSU running back Caden Durham sat out a Week 5 loss against Ole Miss and had the bye to recover this past week. Coach Brian Kelly said earlier this week he anticipates him being ready to go against South Carolina, and he is not on the initial injury report.
You can view the full report for both teams below. Notably, LSU WR Aaron Anderson is questionable for the matchup.
LSU
- DE Gabriel Reliford – Out
- OL Paul Mubenga – Doubtful
- WR Aaron Anderson – Questionable
- DT Ahmad Breaux – Probable
- RB Caden Durham – Probable
South Carolina
- OL Markee Anderson – Out
- OL Nolan Hay – Doubtful
- OL Cason Henry – Doubtful
- DB Myles Norwood – Questionable
- DB Judge Collier – Questionable
- DT Troy Pikes – Questionable
Having Durham back will be a big boost for LSU, as he leads the team with 213 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Tigers struggled to run the ball without him against the Rebels, totaling just 57 yards rushing behind the duo of Harlem Berry and Ju’Juan Johnson.
Since this is an SEC matchup, South Carolina and LSU will both release availability reports throughout the week. In addition to Wednesday’s injury report, there will also be reports released on Thursday and Friday, then one final report that comes out 90 minutes before kickoff.

Both the Gamecocks and Tigers are coming off of bye weeks, which should have given them the chance to get a little closer to full health. LSU will certainly be hungry heading into this one after having had to think about a loss for two weeks.
LSU has largely dominated the series with an 18-2-1 all-time advantage against South Carolina. The Tigers have won eight straight against the Gamecocks dating back to 2002. LSU narrowly won the most recent meeting last season by a score of 36-33.
South Carolina will hope that trend changes this year, but faces a tough task ahead as it is a 9.5-point underdog according to BetMGM. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET in Baton Rouge.
