Nate Oats loses it late in loss to Notre Dame in NCAA tournament

Things did not go well for the Alabama Crimson Tide late in its opening NCAA tournament matchup against the Norte Dame Fighting Irish and the late technical foul on head coach Nate Oats was the exclamation point on the evening.
Oats drew the foul after guard Keon Ellis missed a three-point shot coming over a screen. Ellis fell to the ground and no foul was called on the floor. That threw Oats into a bit of a rage.

In real-time, It looked like the defender didn’t allow Ellis the space to land. However, Ellis’s momentum jumping forward propelled him into the defender, and little to no contact was made. But that does not change Oats’s reaction, the result of the play, or the technical foul on the head coach.
Notre Dame moves on to face Texas Tech in the Round of 32. Meanwhile, Alabama joins multiple other SEC schools in an early-round exit from the tournament.
