Missouri will have its starting quarterback available when it faces Memphis on Saturday.

Brady Cook, who had been questionable throughout the week due to a knee injury he suffered during Mizzou’s Week 3 win over No. 15 Kansas State, is set to start for the 3-0 Tigers against 3-0 Memphis on Saturday, a source tells On3.

Cook’s status was first reported by ESPN.

Cook, who is in his second season as the Tigers’ starting quarterback, beat out former four-star recruit Sam Horn and Miami transfer Jake Garcia to reclaim the starting QB job this preseason. He’s since led Missouri to a 3-0 start and posted 356 passing yards and three total touchdowns during the 30-27 win over Kansas State last week despite working through the knee injury.

“He battles,” Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield said this week. “And it certainly didn’t seem to be affecting him on that last minute drive. He was hobbled a little bit, but he’s a heck of a football player.”

Through three games, Cook has thrown for 732 yards with five passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns and no interceptions. The showing against Kansas State came after Cook and Missouri’s offense were held to 23 points during a four-point win over Middle Tennessee. He was 14 of 19 for 204 yards with two passing touchdowns and a rushing TD in that game.

After the performance against Kansas State, Cook was tabbed as one of the Manning Award’s eight stars of the week. During the win over K-State, Cook broke former Mizzou star Chase Daniel’s school record for consecutive passes without an interception. He’s now at 281 consecutive passes without an interception. Daniel’s record was 254.

Cook, a Class of 2020 three-star recruit, finished last season with 2,739 passing yards, 585 rushing yards, 20 total touchdowns (14 passing, six rushing) and seven interceptions.
