AP Poll Top 25 revealed following Week 15 of college basketball season

The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings were released after Week 15 of the college basketball regular season.

It was a big weekend for some of the top teams and there was even an upset. Very typical for this season to be unpredictable week to week!

Let’s dive into the latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings following another hectic week of college basketball.

1. UConn

You simply can’t stop this team right now. The No. 1 Huskies beat up on Marquette at home by almost 30!

Will it be a runaway title season for UConn? Man it certainly looks like it right now. Four players reached double figures Saturday with Donovan Clingan leading the way with 17 points.

2. Houston (+1)

Houston ran away from Texas Saturday 82-61 and basically returned to form with a third straight win. However it gets turned up a notch with Iowa State Monday night.

In the win over the Longhorns, three players were in double figures. LJ Cryer led the way with 26 points and a rebound. Jamal Shead put up 16 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

3. Purdue (-1)

Purdue was upset Sunday by Ohio State and fell to 23-3 on the season. The 73-69 loss just felt like a game where the Boilermakers couldn’t get it going.

Zach Edey had 22 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Lance Jones followed that up with 13 points and four rebounds in the loss. Rutgers is next on Thursday.

4. Arizona (+1)

Arizona won its sixth straight game Saturday with a victory over rival Arizona State. The Wildcats are now 20-5 on the season.

Six players were in double figures in the 45-point win over the Sun Devils, so you know it was really dominant. Jaden Bradley led the way with 21 points, four rebounds and two assists.

5. Tennessee (+3)

After losing to Texas A&M last week, Tennessee bounced back with two wins over Arkansas and Vanderbilt spread over four days. A nice way to return to the winning ways.

In the 88-53 win over Vanderbilt, the Volunteers had five players in double figures. Dalton Knecht was his usual dominant self with 14 points, four rebounds and five assists.

6. Iowa State (+4)

Iowa State got the win over Texas Tech on Saturday, but all eyes are on the Cyclones’ Monday matchup against Houston. But first things first, they now have 20 wins on the season!

Keshon Gilbert led the way Saturday with 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Curtis Jones added 12 points, three rebounds and two assists.

7. Marquette (-3)

As mentioned above, Marquette just ran into a buzzsaw against UConn over the weekend. Hitting the road to Storrs and losing like that is never fun.

Shaka Smart’s crew still looks like a contender going into March, but this was a tough defeat. Kameron Jones led the way with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists.

8. Duke (+1)

That’s now four wins in a row since the loss to North Carolina back on February 3rd. So give credit to Jon Scheyer for righting the ship fast.

On Saturday, the Blue Devils took down Florida State 76-67. In the win, Jared McCain went off and had a career day. He had 35 points, four rebounds and one assist.

9. Kansas (-3)

Following an upset loss to Texas Tech last Monday, a bad one at that, the Jayhawks got a ranked win over Oklahoma Saturday. That was much needed since last week was a bit of a stunner.

In the win, Hunter Dickinson led the way with 20 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, giving him yet another double-double. Johnny Furphy added 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

10. North Carolina (-3)

The Tar Heels dropped one to Syracuse last week in an upset. But, UNC bounced back with a 15-point win over Virginia Tech on Saturday.

Two players put up 20-plus points in the win. Armando Bacot had 25 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Meanwhile, RJ Davis had 20 points, two rebounds and five assists.
