WATCH: Arkansas, Oklahoma State trade early bombs to stay tied

Arkansas is sitting in a pretty position, needing just one win to advance to a Super Regional. Oklahoma State will have the tough task of getting two victories over the Razorbacks, with their first attempt coming on Sunday night.

Well, Arkansas is off to a hot start as the hometeam in Stillwater, getting on the board in the first inning. All it took was two hits and the score was already 1-0 in favor of the Omahogs. A leadoff double from Braydon Webb was followed by a Brady Slavens single through the shortstop gap.

Oklahoma State was not going to stay off the board for long, immediately responding in the top of the second inning. David Mendham decided to hit the scoreboard, hitting it to the opposite field. As the trend has been throughout college baseball, offenses have been dominating early.

Arkansas outfielder makes leaping catch early in game vs Oklahoma State

TheĀ Arkansas RazorbacksĀ have brought plenty of thunder with their bats to the 2022 Stillwater NCAA Regional in Stillwater, Oklahoma. But on Sunday night, Razorbacks outfielderĀ Zack GregoryĀ made one of the most amazing catches of the 2022 NCAA Tournament thus far at the left-field wall.

In the top of the fourth inning,Ā Oklahoma State’s Caeden TrenkleĀ blasted a shot that went all the way back to the warning track. Gregory sprinted over quickly, made the leaping catch right at the warning track, before going into the fence.

Arkansas and Oklahoma State traded blows early as the Cowboys lead 3-2. Oklahoma State’sĀ David NeedhamĀ blasted a home run in the second inning. BothĀ Brady SlavensĀ andĀ Braydon WebbĀ have both had RBIs thus far for Arkansas. It’s going to be a wild one in Stillwater as a Super Regional spot is on the line for both programs.
