Auburn flips 4-star QB target Peyton Falzone from Penn State

Four-star Nazareth (Pa.) quarterback Peyton Falzone has flipped his commitment from Penn State to Auburn, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Falzone had been pledged to James Franklin and Co. since April 12, when he chose them over Iowa, Utah, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and a number of others. That came after he backed off an early commitment to Virginia Tech back in November 2024.
The Tigers, meanwhile, were never considered a major threat in his recruitment and just extended an offer to him earlier this month. Their late pitch paid off though, as he is expected to play quarterback at the next level and give Auburn a much-needed addition in this class.
In the month of June alone, Hugh Freeze and Co. lost their top two commitments — linebacker Shadarius Toodle and wide receiver Devin Carter — to Georgia and Florida State, respectively. Coming into the day, the Tigers sat at No. 69 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
But with Falzone’s pledge along, they moved up 10 spot and now sit with seven commitments in the class.

As a junior, Falzone completed 146 of his 278 attempts, throwing for 2,135 yards with 23 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also added 78 rushes for 697 yards and eight more scores.
Falzone is the nation’s No. 208 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 8 athlete in the class and the No. 5 recruit from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
He is joined in Auburn’s crop by four-stars Hezekiah Harris and Denairius Gray, as well as three-stars Parker Pritchett, Wayne Henry, Eric Perry and Nikau Hepi.
