Bailey Lenney, former Alabama A&M football player, dies in car wreck

Former Alabama A&M football player Bailey Lenney passed away in a car accident on Saturday, the Franklin Township Police Department said. NJ.com added more on the situation, saying Lenney was inside the car as it overturned multiple times.
Lenney was then airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, after being ejected via the car’s sunroof. He later died in the hospital at the age of 27.
“On August 16, 2025, at approximately 7:49 p.m., officers of the Franklin Township Police Department responded to a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash on the 800 block of Marshall Mill Road,” a statement said via Facebook. “The vehicle was reported to have overturned multiple times in a farm field. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 27 year old male victim with life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical services were immediately initiated and the victim was succumbed to his injuries.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Marshall Mill Road in an attempt to negotiate a bend when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway to the right, entering a farm field. The soft soil caused the vehicle to overturn several times before coming to a final rest approximately 326 feet from the road. The drive was ejected from the vehicle through the sunroof. No other occupants were in the vehicle at time of the crash.”
