Conference championship Saturday starts in Arlington, where BYU and Texas Tech will square off for the Big 12 Championship. It’s a rematch of their regular-season game, which the Red Raiders won in Lubbock.

Both teams enter with 11-1 records and are trying to punch tickets to the College Football Playoff. Texas Tech is in position for a first-round bye while BYU was the first team out of the projected bracket heading into Saturday’s game, meaning the Cougars can jump into the field with a win.

For just the fifth time this season, Bear Bachmeier threw an interception. Texas Tech linebacker Ben Roberts tipped it in the air and managed to pick it off, giving the Red Raiders the ball at the BYU 11-yard line.
