The Big Ten conference has the full slate of home and away in-conference opponents for wrestling across the 2025-26 season. The teams slowly made their announcements earlier this week.

The official Big Ten wrestling schedule will come out in September, with full schedules set to follow. The Big Ten puts everything together a little bit later than others, which causes some non-conference schedules to not be official in June, as compared to closer to the fall.

Let’s dive into each team’s opponents, home and away, across the Big Ten. There are no easy matches in this conference!

Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights get a solid home slate with Minnesota and Michigan coming to town. Going to Penn State is always a wild environment and Illinois should be an intriguing matchup after last year’s razor thin dual.

Penn State

Penn State has to travel to Iowa this season, setting up for a must-see match. Ohio State and Nebraska have to come to State College, with the latter looking to stun Penn State after last year’s 2nd place NCAA finish.

Ohio State

The Buckeyes welcome the Hawkeyes in a wild Big Ten dual this coming season. Going to Nebraska and Minnesota is going to be a big time challenge.

Michigan

Michigan gets to host in-state rival Michigan state this time around and Penn State will come to Ann Arbor as well. Going to Carver Hawkeye Arena, Ohio State and Rutgers is a rough road slate, but they should all be highly competitive.

Michigan State

Michigan State should get some buzz with Iowa coming to East Lansing later this year. Tough road matches at Minnesota and Michigan are also on the docket.

Maryland

Maryland’s steadily improved over the last few years. They’ll welcome upper tier teams like Minnesota, Ohio State and Penn State to College Park. They’ll have to hit the road against a rising Indiana team, as well as Rutgers later this year on their Big Ten slate.

Indiana

Angel Escobedo has done a great job with the Hoosiers recently and they’ll get some good attendance with Nebraksa coming to town. Going to Ohio State and Penn State this year will be quite a challenge.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin ended the season with an All-American in 2025 after a rough dual season. But they should be improved this year and they’ll welcome Indiana and Michigan to name a few. Tough road meets are on tap in the Big Ten with Iowa, Minnesota and Ohio State. Purdue hosting Wisconsin will be a sneaky good dual.

Nebraska

Nebraska is a trophy team contender again, along with Iowa. The Hawkeyes have to come to Lincoln in a raucous environment, as well as Ohio State. The Huskers will have to hit the road against Penn State, the top team in the nation and a very tough Minnesota squad.

Iowa

Carver Hawkeye is one of the best environments in sports. Iowa welcomes Big Ten foes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State in a great home slate. On the road, the Hawkeyes will have to take on Nebraska and Ohio State as far as the top teams are concerned.

Purdue

Purdue graduates Matt Ramos, a former national finalist, but brings back a tough squad in 2025-26. The Boilermakers will get eyeballs on duals at home against Iowa and a very under the radar Illinois team. Hitting the road won’t be easy with Nebraska, in-state foe Indiana and Rutgers.

Illinois

Home opponents: Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Rutgers; Away opponents: Northwestern, Purdue, Michigan State, Michgian

Illinois was a borderline top 10 squad last season and will welcome Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana and Rutgers. That’s a tough and awesome home slate. The road slate includes a trip to Ann Arbor.

Northwestern

The Wildcats have to host a rough set of Big Ten opponents in Illinois, Penn State, Maryland and Rutgers. The Wildcats are set to rebuild though. The road slate includes Nebraska and Michigan.
