The initial injury report for Saturday’s contest between South Carolina and Vanderbilt has been released. Gamecocks tight end Brady Hunt was one of the key names on the report as he deals with an injury suffered in Week 2 against South Carolina State.

Hunt was listed as doubtful when the injury report was released Wednesday. You can check out other players listed for both teams below.

South Carolina:

Doubtful:
DB Judge Collier
TE Brady Hunt

Probable:
DB Vicari Swain
DB Brandon Cisse
DB Jaquel Holman

Vanderbilt:

Questionable:
DL Yilanan Ouattara

Probable:
RB Makhilyn Young
RB Sedrick Alexander
OL Chase Mitchell

Beamer addressed the injuries to Hunt and others in a press conference to start off the week on Sunday. He revealed that Hunt was set to have testing done.

“Feel pretty optimistic on everyone as we sit here today in regards to being able to play Saturday night against Vanderbilt,” Beamer said. “Brady Hunt is the only one that we’re doing some testing on today, and still getting some of the results back from that, so keeping our fingers crossed and prayers for him that we get a good report here this afternoon. But everybody else is trending to being able to play this weekend.”

Hunt is in his second season with South Carolina after originally beginning his career at Ball State. So far through two games in 2025, he has hauled in four catches for 45 yards.

Because this is the first SEC matchup for both South Carolina and Vanderbilt, both teams will be required to release injury reports every day leading up to the game.

This is a big matchup for both teams as they look to get SEC play started off with a win. The Gamecocks enter as the fourth-highest ranked team in the conference at No. 11 in the AP poll, while Vanderbilt is unranked.

South Carolina has dominated the series overall, holding a 30-4 advantage against Vanderbilt in all-time meetings. The Gamecocks have also won 16 consecutive games against the Commodores, including a 28-7 victory last season.

Vegas expects a close contest, with South Carolina entering as 4.5-point favorites according to BetMGM. That in mind, the injury report will be worth closely monitoring throughout the week. Kickoff between the Gamecocks and Commodores is set for 7:45 p.m. ET in Columbia.
