Caden Durham injury update: LSU reveals latest on RB vs. Ole Miss on Friday availability report

One of the top matchups in the country this weekend will be a Top-15 conference meeting in Oxford with No. 4 LSU vs. No. 13 Ole Miss. Now, ahead of kickoff tomorrow afternoon in The ‘Sip, the final injury report is out from the Southeastern Conference.
We already had two updates to the report from the SEC on Wednesday and Thursday going into game day on Saturday. This should now give us one last look into who could be in or out of the lineup for the Tigers and Rebels this weekend.
Here’s that SEC Availability Report for LSU vs. Ole Miss tomorrow from Vaught-Hemingway:
LSU Tigers
- DE Gabriel Reliford – OUT
- OL DJ Chester – OUT (1st half)
- RB Caden Durham – QUESTIONABLE
Ole Miss Rebels
- WR Devin Price – OUT
- OL John Wayne Oliver – OUT
From Wednesday to Thursday, LSU did not make any changes to their report. Ole Miss, though, took
WR Traylon Ray off altogether after initially being probable anyway, while CB Jaylon Braxton has gone from questionable to probable.

However, the biggest focus on this report is on RB Caden Durham, the Tigers’ starting running back with 213 yards and two touchdowns. He’s dealing with an ankle injury coming out of last weekend’s blowout win over SE Louisiana, with it affecting how much he has practiced this week and possibly his status in The Grove on Saturday. That has led to plenty of reporting on it the past few days, including that done by On3’s Pete Nakos.
After respective 4-0 starts, one of these two teams is taking its first loss of the season. So, will LSU win yet another big road game, but this time in conference play? Or will Ole Miss take it at home to win their third league game already this fall?
