Caitlin Clark reveals WNBA fined her for comment about the refs during playoffs

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark hasn’t been able to help her team in the WNBA Playoffs, as she sits out with an injury. Or has she?
Clark has been a hugely vocal supporter of the team despite being relegated to a viewing role. And she was animated during the team’s Game 2 against the Atlanta Dream in the best-of-three playoff series.
She also chimed in via social media after the fact, calling out the officiating. In the process, Caitlin Clark apparently earned a $200 fine from the league, she revealed on Saturday afternoon.
Clark’s post in question simply said “Refs couldn’t stop us.” She explained the fine Saturday.
“Got fined $200 for this lol,” Clark wrote on Twitter. “BENCH MOB WILL BE EVEN MORE ROWDY TOMORROW LETS GOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The fine for Caitlin Clark was not the only bit of drama from the game against the Dream. Fever star Sophie Cunningham, also out for the season due to injury, was confronted by a police officer during one bit of action.

The segment in question came after a collision between Dream guard Allisha Gray and Fever guard Odyssey Sims at the far end of the floor. As officials were reviewing the play for a flagrant foul, Cunningham stood near midcourt.
At that point, a police officer came over and motioned with two hands for Cunningham to back up. She eventually obliged, but it left many fans scratching their heads.
In any case, Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham will undoubtedly be cheering harder than ever when Indiana takes the next step in its playoff journey in the semifinals against the Las Vegas Aces. The game will begin at 3 p.m. ET. Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday night at 9:30.
Caitlin Clark has been out for most of the season due to a groin injury. The team and Clark officially ruled the star guard out for the season several weeks back.
